The laws and penalties of DUI in Tennessee are as follows:

If you are found driving while intoxicated and it is your first offense, you could be fined $350-$1500, and spend a minimum of 48 hours to a maximum of eleven months and 29 days in jail.  The court my also prohibit you from driving a vehicle in Tennessee for one year.  You may, however, be eligible to obtain a restricted driver’s license.

You are further obligated to attend an alcohol-and-drug DUI program and/or complete a drug and alcohol assessment. You must also complete 24 hours of community service work collecting litter along Tennessee state highways over three separate eight-hour shifts while you wear a vest with the statement on the back which reads, “I AM A DRUNK DRIVER.”

If you were accompanied by a minor, you shall be punished by a mandatory minimum jail time of 30 days and a mandatory minimum fine of $1,000.

In addition, if your alcohol level from a blood test or breathalyzer is .20% or more, the minimum time of confinement for you would be seven consecutive calendar days rather than 48 hours.
